Crazy Apple Dumpling Cobbler

- 2 cans refrigerated crescent dough, separated into triangles
- 2 Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and cut into 8 pieces each
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. each of cinnamon, allspice and cloves (I double the cinnamon!)
- 12 oz. Mountain Dew (if you ever figure out what THIS is for, please let me know - I think it's why they call it "crazy")
Preheat oven to 350.
Spray a 9x13 in. baking dish.
Wrap 1 slice of apple with 1 triangle of dough and place in baking dish.
Mix butter, sugar and spices and pour over dumplings.
Pour Mountain Dew over all and bake for 45 min. at 350 degrees.
