Wings Over the Smokies 2003
North Carolina District Rally
September 18-20, 2003
Around 5,000 from 28 states attended.
Almost 2,000 were pre-registered, and 3,100 bought day passes.
420 people attended the seminars.
Longest distance ride was 1400 miles from Colorado.
Some of the motorcycle license plates seen at WOS.
There were Gold Wings from as far away as Colorado,
but they must have been out riding while I was
shooting these pictures.
Keith Henderson's Illusions of
"The King" on Friday evening.
Monte can't believe his eyes at Marcie's antics
while "The King" is onstage.
The Chapter NC-I Poker Run table was a popular attraction.
Vendors brought lots of "safety chrome" and other accessories.
And, of course, it wouldn't be a rally without food.
A special thanks to the many volunteers
who made Wings Over the Smokies possible.
Here are just a few from Chapter NC-I.
Teresa and many others also
volunteered at the blood drive.
The Red Cross collected 32 units
of blood (not all from Teresa).
